As regards serving rural and tribal people, VSSS runs seven rural health centres and several satellite sub-centres. The activities are mainly based on curative, preventive and promotive aspects of primary health care programme of the Govt. of India and World Health Organization. On an average 51,330 persons were served annually during the last 5 years. Heath care has travelled a long way from Curative and Preventive Methods. Now Promotive has become an important aspect, so in VSSS we undertake an Integrated Approach. Our approach can be classified as the following:

  • General medical clinics
  • Special clinics
