Since its inception in 1984 the activities of the Vivekananda Swasthya Seva Sangha (VSSS) have steadily grown and the number of village centres also multiplied. Following the ideal Service to man as service to God, as preached by Swami Vivekananda, the Sangha renders selfless services in the clusters of villages in rural West Bengal through its seven rural service centres and several sub-centres.
Though the organization’s activities are explicitly targeted towards primary health care programme; the organization is implementing an integrated approach encompassing education and other socio-economic development activities.
